Alvord Today
Alvord Unified is supported by a strong educational community that includes parents,
students, staff,
local businesses,
community members,
including the
Alvord Educational
Foundation
and the extremely
active, dedicated
Council PTA.
Currently,
there are fourteen
elementary
schools; four
traditional
middle schools;
two comprehensive
high schools,
and one continuation
high school
with an adult
education program.
Hillcrest,
Alvord’s brand

Alvord is
constantly
improving
our curriculum
as prescribed
by State
Standards.
These programs
help build
a better
education
for all students,
kindergarten
through adult.
The teachers
in Alvord
are
trained in
effective
teaching
techniques
and on-going
staff development
programs
play a
major role
in our efforts
to build
and
maintain
quality
educational
programs.
Serving
over 18,000
students
creates
a welcomed
challenge
for the
exceptional
individuals
that are
a
part of the
staff at
Alvord.
Our teachers,
support staff,
and administrators
work closely
with parents
and the community
to create
an excellent
learning
environment.
