Welcome to the Ysmael Villegas Middle School web page. Our web page is designed to be as interactive and dynamic as our school. Villegas Middle School is dedicated to the mission of “Commitment is Achievement.” The idea of achievement is not limited to academics alone.

Proudly named for a Riverside Medal of Honor recipient, Ysmael Villegas Middle School strives to model the courage, valor, and honor demonstrated by its namesake. To increase the proficiency of our culturally diverse student population on the California State Standards Tests, all stakeholders (administrators, teachers, parents, and students) work collaboratively to facilitate a rigorous standards-based curricular program while providing a positive learning environment.

Ysmael Villegas Middle School is dedicated to the principle that all students can achieve proficiency or better on the California Standards Tests while engaging in a standards-based spiraling curriculum that will help facilitate the passing of the California High School Exit Exam.

Ysmael Villegas Middle School pursues its’ shared vision of developing both the affective and cognitive domains of all students while pursuing academic excellence and positive citizenship in a safe, nurturing environment.
