Welcome to Phillip M. Stokoe Elementary, Home of the Starpilots!   My name is Katherine Rizzo and it is with great pride that I write this letter as principal of Phillip M. Stokoe Elementary. I consider it a privilege to be a part of such a hardworking, knowledgeable, and supportive school community. Together we strive to provide a positive and safe learning environment for all students.

As an educator, I will make every effort to ensure that every child is treated with respect and is in a safe school. I make decisions that are based on the best interests of students. I believe that it is important that families and staff members work collaboratively to help students succeed. Without a doubt, the most successful students have family members who communicate regularly with the school. Together we can make a difference in the lives of students at Phillip M. Stokoe Elementary.

The staff at Stokoe Elementary School hold high expectations for all students. We believe that all students are capable of learning to their highest potential. This year, our students will learn like never before as we prepare each child for his or her path to college. Yes, I said college. You will hear more about this endeavor at Back to School Night, August 20, 2009 at 6:00 pm.
