Parents at Foothill participate in the school's decision making and advocacy in a variety of groups including the School Site Council (SSC), English Learners Advisory Council (ELAC), GATE Advisory Council (GAC), Leadership Team and Parent Teacher Association (PTA). Meeting dates and times are discussed and voted upon at the first meeting of each academic year and bylaws are maintained for applicable groups. Meetings are announced through flyers sent home with students and on the school marquee. There are workshops and trainings offered at the school site and through conference attendance throughout the year based on parent, staff and district recommendations and requests.
