Enrollment
and Class Size
Collett serves approximately 802 students in grades
K-5. Students attend school for 180 days during the
school year. In 2011-2012, the school year begins
on August 8, 2011 and ends May 24, 2012. The school
year follows a modified traditional calendar with
weeklong or longer breaks at Thanksgiving, Christmas,
President’s week, and Spring Break. Class sizes
in grades K-3 are 30:1. Class sizes in grades 4-5
are approximately 32:1.
COLLEGE DAYS
Wednesdays: College Day!
The Collett staff believe that all of its students
will one day attend college. Each classroom adopts
a University and that University’s banner
flies proudly outside the classroom each day. Classes
often create or purchase shirts for students representing
those colleges. A school “Collett’s
Community of Colleges” shirt will also be
available in the near future. Students, staff,
and parent volunteers are encouraged to wear their
college shirts on Fridays.
SPIRIT DAYS
Fridays: Spirit Day!
Students, staff, and parent volunteers are encouraged
to show their school pride by wearing Collett Cougar
T-shirts, emblems, or the school colors of blue
and white every Friday.
